For many years, I have been making a wide range of bespoke joinery items in many different classic styles, even very minimalistic designs. Work carried out for clients in the UK and abroad such as New York, Long Island, Athens, Poland etc.
The types of work range from simple Mouldings, Mantelpieces, Bookcases, Woodcarving, Dado Panelling and larger projects such as Architectural Panelled Rooms & Libraries. Work has also been carried out on Grade 1 & 2 Listed Buildings, most recent being Kensington Palace this year, here i copied from the original ornate door surrounds, pediments and door linings from the main foyer and to be installed in another room. Also, St Giles House, Dorset which has now won the HHA restoration award.
All products are made from solid timbers such as English & Euro Oak, Walnut, Mahogany all from a sustainable source, and reclaimed timbers are used.
Currently, work is for a new build house in Goldalming, Surrey for a private client who commissioned Ian Adam Smith architects. The work will be oak dado bolection panelling, storage units, staircase and a large gallery.
Over these years, I have worked with Architects Foster Lomas, John McCall Designs, R. Board Ltd, Jimmy Page, H. Blairman & Son antiques, Durrants Hotel, James McWhirter Interiors & Antiques. And of course, Arthur Brett. In the distant past, i have supplied joinery work for Crowthers of Syon Lodge, Rainbow Fairweather Interiors, Bryant & Gladwin & Thornhill Galleries. Plus, you can see work in the Wormsley Library. Also, in Lambeth Juvenile Court there are parts of the original panelling i have restored.
